PRIVACY POLICY

Your content.
Your inbox.
Your choice.

Good finds deserve a place to live.
Your personal information deserves a little care.

Updated October 20, 2026 Version 2026-10-20.4

Only what we need.
Only what you choose.

This policy explains the TapShift website and waitlist as they work today. It also explains how we will tell you about new uses before our content assistant launches.

hello@tapshift.in
Your inbox, your rules.

Waitlist updates and optional marketing are separate choices.

No selling your email.

We don't sell waitlist information or share it for third-party targeted advertising.

You can change your mind.

Ask us to change your preferences, withdraw consent, or delete your signup.

Who we are

TapShift is an independently operated, prelaunch project based in India. In this policy, “TapShift,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean the people operating the TapShift project and this website. TapShift is not currently an incorporated company. We are responsible for deciding how the personal information collected through this waitlist is used.

For privacy questions, consent withdrawal, or a request about your information, email hello@tapshift.in. Our contact location is India.

What we collect

When you use this website or join the waitlist, we collect or process:

  • Your signup details: your email address, whether you joined as a user or creator, and signup time.
  • Your choices: your agreement to waitlist and launch updates, your separate marketing choice, the time each choice was submitted, and the versions and wording of the privacy notice and consent statements shown to you. We keep a history of these submissions to explain how consent was collected.
  • Verification information: confirmation and unsubscribe token hashes, link expiry, confirmation and withdrawal times, and email request status or provider message identifiers. A submitted marketing choice is not a verified marketing subscription.
  • Requests you send us: information in emails about support, preferences, or privacy. Please do not include payment details, identity documents, or sensitive information unless we specifically need it to handle your request securely.
  • Basic technical information: our hosting and security providers may process IP addresses, browser information, request times, and security logs to serve and protect the site. Our application uses an IP address temporarily for abuse prevention; it does not add that address to your waitlist profile.

The current waitlist does not access your social accounts, contacts, messages, photos, saved content, payment details, or purchase history. The conversations and product examples on this website are demonstrations.

How and why we use it

We use your email and chosen role to maintain the waitlist, let you know about early access, and send the launch updates you request. We use consent records to honor your preferences and demonstrate what you agreed to. If you separately opt in and confirm your email, we may also send the optional marketing described below.

We use limited technical information to prevent spam, investigate failures, and keep the website secure. We may also use information where needed to answer your request, meet a legal obligation, or establish or defend legal claims.

Where a law requires us to identify a legal basis, we rely on your consent for the waitlist communications and optional marketing you select. For essential security and administration, we rely on our legitimate interest in running a safe website where that basis is available, or another basis required by applicable law. We rely on legal obligations where a law requires particular processing.

You are not legally required to provide an email address. We need one to provide the waitlist service. Declining optional marketing does not affect your place on the waitlist. Acknowledging this policy does not waive any privacy rights.

Your inbox choices

Two choices, not one bundled permission.
The waitlist checkbox covers managing your signup and early-access or launch updates. The separate marketing checkbox is optional and starts unchecked.

Optional marketing may include emails from TapShift about new features, content recommendations, and offers, including affiliate offers. It does not authorize unrelated businesses to market to you, and it does not give us permission to start SMS, WhatsApp, or iMessage marketing. Any additional channel or materially different purpose will need its own notice and, where required, consent.

We use Resend to send a confirmation email after signup when email delivery is configured. The link expires after 24 hours and asks you to confirm your waitlist choices; opening the link alone does not subscribe you. Optional marketing requires a separate choice on the confirmation page. Promotional campaigns are not active yet. We never treat older waitlist records as verified marketing subscriptions. Resubmitting the form records a new choice and requires a fresh confirmation.

You can withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@tapshift.in to stop marketing, or ask to leave the waitlist and stop its updates too. Confirmation emails include a link to stop all waitlist and optional marketing emails for that address across both user and creator signups. Opening the unsubscribe page alone does not change your choices; use its button or your email client’s one-click unsubscribe action. Future update and marketing emails must also include an unsubscribe option. Unsubscribing does not automatically delete your signup or consent history; you can request deletion separately. No fee or account will be required to opt out. Withdrawal does not change the lawfulness of processing that happened before it.

Providers, sharing, and international processing

This version of TapShift uses Vercel for website hosting and its signup API, and Neon Postgres to store waitlist profiles and consent records. These providers may process information needed to deliver, secure, and maintain their services. Resend processes recipient addresses, message content, confirmation and unsubscribe links, and delivery-related information to send our confirmation emails. Its services may also process technical logs and email interaction information according to the email tracking settings in use. See the provider’s privacy notice for its own processing. No advertising or affiliate offer is included in the confirmation email.

We do not sell your personal information, rent the waitlist, or share it with third parties for their own targeted advertising. Selecting optional marketing does not change that. We may disclose limited information where legally required, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a transfer of the project, subject to applicable privacy obligations and appropriate notice.

Our providers may process information outside India or your home country, where privacy laws may differ. Where applicable law requires a particular transfer mechanism or additional safeguards, those requirements must be met for the relevant transfer. Contact us to ask about the providers, locations, and safeguards relevant to your information.

Cookies, external links, and affiliates

TapShift does not add advertising pixels or analytics cookies to this landing page. Our hosting provider may use essential cookies or similar technologies for access, security, and delivery, including access to a protected preview. We will explain any new nonessential tracking and request permission where required before enabling it.

The shopping and booking examples are not live checkout services. When real merchant or affiliate links become available, the destination's privacy policy and terms will govern what happens on that site. Affiliate networks or merchants may use tracking to attribute a purchase; we will provide an appropriate disclosure when those links are introduced. An affiliate link does not guarantee an item is available, suitable, or the lowest-priced option.

How long we keep information and how we protect it

We keep active signup information while managing the waitlist and the communications you have requested. We review whether records are still needed and remove or anonymize them when their purpose ends or you make a valid deletion request, subject to any legal retention requirements.

Some limited records may need to remain to honor an opt-out, demonstrate a consent choice, handle a dispute, or meet a legal obligation. We will not use retained opt-out records to restart marketing. Provider logs and backups can follow separate, limited retention cycles.

We use measures appropriate to this service, including encrypted connections, restricted access to stored records, request validation, and abuse controls. No online system is completely secure. Please contact us if you believe your information has been affected by a security problem.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may be able to ask for access to your information, a copy, correction, deletion, portability, or limits on how it is used. You may also have a right to object to certain uses, withdraw consent, raise a grievance, or complain to your local privacy authority. These rights can be subject to exceptions and identity checks.

To make a request, email hello@tapshift.in. Tell us the email address you used and what you would like us to do. We may ask for proportionate verification before disclosing or changing personal information. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and will not penalize you for exercising a privacy right.

If European or UK data-protection rules apply, you can contact the authority where you live, work, or believe an infringement occurred. If Indian, US state, or another local privacy law gives you additional rights, you can use the same contact to exercise those rights or ask about an appeal or grievance process. This policy does not limit rights provided by law.

When the content assistant arrives

We are building tools to save content as notes, recall it in conversation, identify products and places, and find shopping or booking options. Instagram, WhatsApp, and iMessage integrations are planned; none is authorized by a waitlist signup.

Before activating a feature that processes shared content, connects an account, uses AI providers, tracks affiliate activity, or handles payments, we will explain the relevant data, providers, purpose, retention, and controls. We will update this policy and obtain any additional permission required. Joining now is not blanket consent to future data uses, access to your private inbox, or AI training on your content.

We do not currently use waitlist information to train an AI model or make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Children's privacy

This prelaunch waitlist is intended for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information through it. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us so we can review and remove it as appropriate. Any future service intended for younger users would need its own age-appropriate protections and permissions.

Changes and staying in touch

We may update this policy as the project develops or applicable requirements change. The date and version at the top identify the current notice. We will give appropriate notice of material changes and ask for renewed consent when required, rather than treating a new policy as retroactive permission.
