A few answers before your next good find.
Is this just for travel?
Not at all. Think electronics, clothes, home finds, recipes, food spots, travel, and ideas worth keeping. TapShift is being built to turn the content you share into searchable notes, then help you find products or places and affiliate shopping links where available.
Can I save something without buying it?
Absolutely. The note is useful on its own. Keep a recipe, a recommendation, a how-to, or an idea, with a link back to the original content. Ask for it later in your own words. Shopping is a next step you can choose, never a requirement.
Will it work in WhatsApp and iMessage?
That’s the plan. Instagram sharing, WhatsApp, and iMessage support are on the roadmap, subject to platform availability. The idea is a personal assistant you can message with content and ask about later. These integrations are not live yet.
What about content I find on TikTok?
We’re planning a share-link workflow: copy or share the TikTok link into a supported chat such as WhatsApp or iMessage. This does not depend on a native TikTok DM bot. Support will be confirmed as each integration launches.
Is TapShift live yet?
We’re building the first version and inviting users and creators to the waitlist. The examples on this page show the experience we’re working toward. Joining is free, and we’ll email you when early access is ready.
How do creators get paid?
When a supported product purchase or booking is attributed to a creator’s content, the plan is to share the affiliate commission with them. This can apply across content categories, not just travel. Merchant participation, attribution, availability, rates, and payout terms will be confirmed before launch. Not every item will have an affiliate link.
Will I be charged to join?
No. Joining the waitlist is free and doesn’t require a payment method. Any booking prices or paid features will be clearly shown before you choose to pay.
