HOW TAPSHIFT WORKS

A good find.
A useful note.
A next step.

TapShift is a personal content assistant in development. It is designed to turn the reels and links you share into useful notes you can find again through conversation.

Current status: prelaunch. The examples below describe the planned product. See what is available today.

What happens when I share a reel?

The planned workflow starts with something you want to remember. You would share a reel or link to TapShift in a supported conversation, then return to the same assistant when you need it.

  1. Share the source and your reason. “Save this lamp for my desk” gives the assistant both the content and the detail that matters to you.
  2. Keep a useful note. The note would hold available details alongside the original content and creator. Missing or uncertain information would still need checking.
  3. Ask for it in your own words. You could describe the item, place, recipe, or reason you saved it without remembering an exact caption.
  4. Choose whether to act. Revisit the source, compare options, make a plan, or simply keep the note. Shopping and booking are optional.

Content access and extraction will depend on supported platforms and formats. The original source remains important, particularly for details that are incomplete, change over time, or cannot be identified confidently.

What could I use TapShift for?

Products, food, places, and ideas all fit the same pattern. These illustrative examples show why a note can be useful long before a purchase.

The headphones from that desk setup

Keep the original reel, creator, product details, and the reason you liked them. An uncertain model should stay marked as unconfirmed.

“Show me the headphones I saved last week.”

A possible next step: Compare the original with alternatives that meet your needs and budget.

Find products from reels

The recipe you actually want to cook

Bring together the creator’s recipe link, ingredients, quantities, and steps. Keep missing details visible rather than filling them with guesses.

“Find the chickpea pasta I saved.”

A possible next step: Check the original instructions and make a shopping list. A recipe note needs no purchase link.

Make useful recipe notes

The café for your next free afternoon

Keep the exact place, address, dish or experience that interested you, and the original recommendation together.

“Which cafés did I save for Jaipur?”

A possible next step: Check current hours and availability with the venue before visiting or reserving.

Organize restaurant recommendations

The stay that started a whole trip

Keep the property and source reel, distinguishing the room or service shown from the wider destination.

“Find the hotel with the terrace I saved.”

A possible next step: Compare supported options for your dates, guests, and budget, then review the full price and terms.

Plan from saved travel reels

How is this different from a saved collection?

A saved collection preserves posts. TapShift’s planned role is to connect the recommendation with the details you need and help retrieve it through conversation.

You can make your saves more useful today with an ordinary notes app. Our saved-reels guide includes a copyable template for keeping the source, your reason, and a next action together.

Can the assistant book or order for me?

Booking and ordering are longer-term plans. The assistant would first ask for the details relevant to the request: dates and guests for a stay, delivery preferences for an order, or requirements and budget for a product.

Before a supported transaction, you would review the merchant, the exact option, total price, and terms. Your approval would be required. The plan includes the choice to pay yourself or authorize a supported payment through a secure payment or vault link.

These transaction and payment features are in development. The current website does not collect card details. Product access, merchant support, and available services will vary; the examples are not live availability or price quotes.

How would creators earn a commission?

A merchant may pay an affiliate commission when an eligible purchase is completed through a supported link. If the purchase can be attributed to a creator’s content, TapShift’s plan is to share the commission with that creator and keep a portion.

Saving a note alone does not generate commission. Not every product or place has an affiliate program, and attribution must be supported. Participating merchants, creator eligibility, rates, commission shares, and payout terms will be confirmed before launch. Read our creator affiliate workflow guide for practical ways to organize recommendations today.

Where will TapShift work?

Instagram, WhatsApp, and iMessage are planned, subject to platform availability. A share-link workflow for TikTok and other feeds is also on the roadmap.

These integrations are not live. Launch countries, supported content types, and channel availability will be announced as the product develops.

What can I use today?

TapShift is prelaunch. The website, practical guides, and free user and creator waitlists are live. The assistant, messaging integrations, search, bookings, payments, and creator payouts are in development.
